Natural Sound

The people of Belgrade ran for cover on Sunday morning as air raid sirens sounded across the city.

The streets were quickly

deserted in anticipation of a possible air strike by NATO planes which had flown sorties throughout the night targeting sites around the city.

This is the fourth successive day of operation Allied Force, the NATO mission that is seeking to end the violent oppression of the ethnic Albanians by the Serb authorities.

The streets of Yugoslavia's capital were deserted on Sunday morning.

The air raid sirens sounded and people ran for cover, fearing a NATO attack on the centre of the city.

During the night the NATO planes struck again.

This is the fourth day of air strikes which NATO hopes will bring Serbian president Milosevic to his knees, and destroy him militarily.
